Why I Started CityKaki
The passion I have for cross cultural culinary journeys, discovering new places, and venturing into technology has been greatly fueled by living in the UK.
The concept that forms the basis of CityKaki is pretty straightforward, I just wanted to tell the world what I have done and connect with other individuals who like to be curious, explore, and be creative.
As I moved from the packed food markets of London to the calm rural escapes, and while spending my days in the most recent technological advancements, I understood how much I needed to translate my thoughts into words. What began as my hobby which involved dabbling in written work soon evolved into a more serious endeavor where I sought to bring forth well-crafted and well-explounded pieces to millions who seek great opportunities in life.
My Education & Writing Experience
I have graduated from University of Leeds, earned a degree in Communications and Media Studies and there I discovered my passion for writing, research, and telling stories.
The period of my studies allowed me to learn the basics of creating great works, while being able to also understand what the audience wants and sharpen my analysis skills.
In the course of my practice I have held various positions including the writing of articles and working in the field of marketing. At Reach Media, one of the largest media companies in the UK for which I worked as a Content Strategist, I learned writing and editing, as well as creating content for different audiences.
I have had the pleasure to work with top actors in the areas of food, travel and tech which has been transformational in terms of my understanding and knowledge.

What Sets Us Apart?
Here at CityKaki, our goal is not just producing content but providing experiences. Here is how we are different from other blogs:
Real Expertise
All authors are experienced practitioners in the subjects they write about. Our authors cover all three irrespective of the subject — food, travel, or tech. This is how we ensure that every report we put to print is close to real prying insights and facts.
Authenticity
There are no fake reviews on this web platform. There is a clear policy in place – our reviews are not sponsored. There are no advertisements for any products or services. From restaurant reviews, travel tips to advice on the latest technologies, we write about places, products and experiences that we have actually tried.
Diverse Content
The compass of our interests is vast. There is no border on what we wish to speak about – the current hottest trends in travel, technology, fashion and design, television or cinema. And we never get tired of it or delivering it because it is always useful and stimulating.
Community-Centric
CityKaki is not only an online blog, it is also a community of adventurous people who love food, travel, and technology. Our approach is consultative, collaborative and communicative so you are welcome to enrich this community.
Our Core Values
At CityKaki, we live by three guiding principles:
- Authenticity – We write from our hearts. Our reviews and recommendations come from real experiences, not from paid promotions or sponsorships.
- Quality – We’re dedicated to publishing well-researched, thoughtful, and polished articles that deliver real value to our readers.
- Innovation – Whether it’s food, travel, or tech, we’re always looking for fresh perspectives, new ideas, and innovative ways to engage our readers.
